Semana Sesenta y Uno - Merry Christmas

This week we have been working hard, week 2 of training my mission daughter.  She has grown in her confidence and I am so very proud of her. She is so brave, she is happy all of the time and she just wants to learn and grow. This week we had a Christmas activity as a mission is was so fun!!! I saw my trainer Hermana Calderon and a ton of people that I knew, including Elder Viera from Danville! haha He says hi to everyone! Then on Saturday we had out Christmas activity as a ward and they needed our help. So we helped out a ton that night and our investigators Lorena and Genesis came to the activity, they told us they were going to come to church... but the lights went out across the city and they weren’t able to make it.... the lights went out at 8 in the morning and came back at 5 in the afternoon... it made it really hard to work and teach, but we made the best of it of course. J In the activity I played the part as a tree (because I am the tallest) and then helped a quartet learn Hard How the Bells (Carole of the Bells) in Spanish... it turned out okay-ish.  J (mom I’m turning into you). I love this time of year for the spirit of Christmas... if you really just focus in on the real meaning of Christmas it makes all the difference. I love the people and I love being here... I am going to have the best Christmas ever here because helping people to come to Christ is the best thing I can do right now at this point in my life. I am also very excited to see the family via Skype!! I love every single one of you. Can’t wait for Christmas, we have some great plans here in the ward. Service projects with the ward and service projects as a mission zone. Something else that I remembered just now! In all of my time here I have see how the leaders of this ward have become more united - the activities are better planned out and more successful... there is more attendance... and of course more baptisms... I have learned to importance of being united with the ward and with the ward counsel because when the orba misional (mission work) and the ward counsel are working together the Lord works miracles. The Bishop is very happy with our work and I am very content because I know that I am doing the Lord’s will and that He is very content with us. The Lord loves his missionaries. I love you all!!!
