Semana Cincuenta y Tres - Tegucigalpa

Okay so today I am writing late because we had permission to go to a site called Picachu, basically its a giant statue of Christ that you can see from all over Tegucigalpa. Its really cool. J

This past week has been very interesting. We have been preparing Alexander for baptism and he is coming along. The hard thing with him is that he has a hard time changing his mind about the catholic traditions that he has learned. As well, he works every other day in the night, all night so he is always tired. But he is continuing forward with his baptismal date. We are going to have his baptismal interview on Thursday. Pray that he will be able to have more confidence that this is the right choice. He told us he wants to be baptized... but Satan is working hard to stop him.

This week as well we have been working hard with the members to help us out with finding people and as well teaching. Its wonderful because it teaches the members that they as well can teach and that they can be missionaries as well.

This week has been a wonderful week of learning about repentance and how important it is in our lives. There is a reason that we have it and it is because it gives us an opportunity to change and to be better. It is not a condemnation it is a gift that we have in our lives and we should take advantage of it whenever we possibly can. Every day in fact.

As well I have seen how much the choices of a child can affect a mother. This week a 15-year-old boy in our ward ran away from home because he was angry at his mom. We went to go and visit her and I have never seen a mother more worried in my life, thankfully he came home yesterday... then it was her turn to be really angry... relieved but angry.   This was really hard to watch and what came to my mind the whole entire time was that a child really can break a mother’s heart. In actions and words, etc. So remember, love your moms and take care of her. Each and every mother has given everything to raise each and every one of us. Thank you mom for being my mom and taking care of me. I love you so much and you are the best. I love you all!!! Keep praying for Alexander!!!
