Semana Veinte Dos

¨Do you want to be happy? Forget yourself and get lost in this cause. Lend your efforts to helping people...stand higher, lift those with feeble knees, and hold up the arms of those that hang down. Live the Gospel of Jesús Christ¨ Gordon B. Hinckley

This week was full of miracles.  We found the most amazing family this week!!  Last Saturday we had a car wash and they were one of the references from it.  They gave us to their house, but the thing was their directions included what color their house was, and there were two houses of the same color yellow right next to each other.  So we knocked on the last one and no one was there, then we went and tried to visit a member but only the husband was home and he gave us another new reference and we went and contacted that person and while talking to this old lady she mentioned to us that they last yellow house on the street doesn’t have anyone living there. So we ran to the second yellow house and knocked on the door and it was the family!!!  This Saturday we were able to visit them and have the first lesson with them; they are super positive because 1: they are legally married, 2. they don’t have Word of Wisdom problems, and 3. they want to get baptized. While we were talking to them they told us about how they found the car wash.  Basically Mario wanted to get his car washed but they didn’t have enough money to buy food and wash their car for this next week.  When they were talking about what they were going to do, there was the sign that one of the Hermanas was holding that was advertising a free car wash.  At first they didn’t believe it but they decided to check it out and realized it was true. So while they were waiting they took a tour of the temple grounds with some other missionaries and also toured the chapel... turns out they felt the spirit so strong and they want to get baptized and sealed!!  It was so awesome!!! We are working with them and they are already reading and praying and we are working on getting them to church. It was such a blessing because all the week before was so hard.

The Lord really does work through us and I am so proud be a part of this amazing work. It is such a privilege. The Lord really does work through mysterious ways!!! Sometimes we may not see it at first but when we look back it’s amazing how the Lord Works...

Love you Tons!!
