Hola Familia!!!
Another week down and many many more to go!! Actually to be
honest, the weeks are starting to fly by, and I really don’t like it. L Time here is
interesting because the days feel like years and the weeks feel like seconds. It’s
strange. It’s strange to think that I’ve been out for more than 3 months. That
sounds like very little time, but at the same time it’s a lot. And something
that I’ve learned is that time here is very precious. Especially the Lord’s
time. So use it wisely. J
This week we had entrevistas with presidente, and I was so
nervous, but when I was with presidente, all the nervousness went away. He is
here to help us and to love us, and he is called by the Lord to lead us and
help us. It was so interesting because I can just feel the spirit and the love
he has for us radiating from him. Also, we got some news here, he is leaving in
June and we are getting a new president! The new one is actually from here
which will be interesting.
Not too much success with our investigators right now. They
are progressing, but slowly. But at the same time we are trying to find nuevos.
But it seems like no one is interested. Sometimes the people we have are not
the ones that the Lord has for us. Something that I have been learning here is
there are people that are prepared for us, so we need to get out there and do
all we can to find those that are for us. Sometimes it’s really hard and
frustrating, but you just have to keep going and keep trying to have
faith.
We have elders sharing our area now. One is named Elder
Small.... who is about as tall as Uncle Alan, maybe even a little taller. K
The other is named Elder Romero, he is from Honduras and is just waiting for
his visa to get to Brasil. It’ll be good to share with them because a lot of
our area is residential and we can’t knock puertas and it can be really hard.
But we are going to work together with them to hopefully find more
people.
Anyways, I love you all this week just flew by!!! I can’t
believe that we are almost to February!!!
