This week we had two
baptisms!!! Their names are Heidy and Elvin. Two kids who are so awesome! Their
dad is an inactive church member who’s reactivating and their mom isn’t a
member, but she has been praying about the baptism of her kids and has had multiple
answers. She has had dreams and she knows this church is true. This week we
went to the temple with them so that they could feel the Spirit and it made a
big impact on them. They have made the goal to get sealed in the
temple!!!
Later
Heidy and Elvin got baptized. It was a
very beautiful baptism, and we had A LOT of support from the ward. It was fantastic! Plus, a couple of investigators
came to the baptism, so we have plans to go this week to teach them and help
them make the step to get baptized. These investigators are husbands of members
in the ward with kids in the primary.
We
are teaching a little kid named Carlos. He is very smart and I am teaching him
piano. His dad isn’t a member of the church and is not letting him get
baptized. But the piano is opening him up a lot and Carlos played the piano in
the baptism and sang one of the primary songs about baptism. “I like to look
for rainbows.” His mom and us are hoping that this will soften the heart of his
dad. We are praying.
Monica
is going to get baptized on the 30th and is more than ready!!! It is
fantastic!!! I am so happy the mission is wonderful. I am just happy happy happy as can be!!! Love
you all!!!
